Responsible Restart Ohio: OfficeKey’s Plan

Governor Dewine has announced that general offices in Ohio can open back up on Monday May 4th. It appears that Kentucky is on track to follow suit a week later on May 11th with similar guidelines. Starting on Monday the 4th we will have a staff member on site again on a daily basis.

The state of Ohio has produced a list of 5 safe business practices for getting back to work. These five practices are listed below with details about how OfficeKey plans to comply:

1. Require face coverings

  • We recommend that face coverings will be worn in all common areas.
  • Please help ensure that any guests that may visit the office are aware of this expectation.
  • Once in a private space mask removal is at your discretion.

2. Conduct daily health assessments

  • We will not be taking temperatures as people come in.
  • Before coming into the office our staff will be taking their temperature at home and recording it; we recommend that our clients do the same.

3. Maintain good hygiene

  • We will continue to have hand sanitizer available in several places around the office.

4. Clean and sanitize

  • Our staff and building janitorial workers will continue to focus on cleaning high touch areas throughout the day.
  • We ask that when scheduling a room you allow at least a 15-minute buffer between other reservations so that our staff can sanitize between use.
  • Many communal items have already been removed so there are less touchpoints and the cleaning process is swifter. We will also be removing the laptop in the client service areas as well as other non-essential items.

5. Limit capacity and meet social distancing guidelines

  • Effective Monday 5/4 we will be reducing the capacity of each conference room and day office. Groups will continue to be limited to 10 or fewer people.
  • Stanchions will be placed in front of each reception desk to ensure the required 6 feet of social distancing space.
  • Reception area seating will be reduced and/or spread out to provide adequate spacing.
  • When reserving a room we ask that you include the number of people that will be attending and also make sure guests are reminded to not bring extra people with them.

Please know that we are doing everything we can to make the office as safe as possible for everyone who comes in. We will have signs posted throughout the offices to provide direction and reminders and our staff is always available to answer any questions. That said, we need your help as well. This situation dictates that we are all reliant on each other’s personal responsibility to help maintain a safe environment. Thank you for your continued trust in OfficeKey and we look forward to seeing you soon!
