"Meet Drew Dinkelacker of Marketing Accelerator"

Drew Dinkelacker, Marketing AcceleratorQ: Tell us about Marketing Accelerator.

A: Every business needs strategic marketing help…they just don’t need it five days a week.  I’m the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for a handful of business owners on an as-needed basis.  I’m on your team, not your payroll.

Q: What type of clients do you like to work with?

A: My clients cover multiple industries, are B2B and B2C, some retail, some wholesale and some are franchises.  The common denominators I look for are growing companies and business owners that are frustrated with their marketing effort.  Often they have spent plenty of time and money on marketing tactics and advertising but aren’t getting the ROI.  My perspective in these situations is that the company needs an outside voice to look at their marketing effort for the strategic perspective, not tactical.

Q: What inspired you to begin reviewing Super Bowl commercials?

A: For the last five years, I have been a voting panelist member of USA Today’s AdMeter Ratings for Super Bowl Commercials.  I’ve probably watched more of these ads than anyone else you know, and I write about them on my Hot Marketing Tips blog and in the Cincinnati Business Courier.  The best talent from around the world develop the Super Bowl spots. I figured that there was something that I could learn from dissecting them.  I quickly realized that these spots often set the standard for new marketing techniques.  Often, I observe the underlying strategies being used and share them with my clients.  It is a good benefit for them even though they may not be using TV advertising.  Strategies are that way.  That’s why I focus on them.

Q: What is your all-time favorite Super Bowl commercial or campaign?

A: Choosing an all-time favorite Super Bowl commercial is difficult.  However, I would say that my all-time favorite product introduction was Deathwish Coffee…“Awaken your inner rebel with the world’s strongest coffee.”  From the Superbowl spot to the tagline and overall campaign, it was very well done.  Just this week, their cold brew nitro coffee in cans got recalled due to a botulism concern.  The news headlines read” ‘Death Wish’ coffee recalled because it can literally kill you.”  For most companies, this would be bad PR but somehow I think it will work in Deathwish Coffee’s favor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_3H_Y5QUWw.

Q: How do you send time when not at work?

A: Tennis, gardening and cooking

Q: What do you like most about working with OfficeKey?

A: The staff at West Chester,  Blue Ash and Hyde Park where I spend the majority of my time.  Friendly, accommodating and very professional representation of my business.  I look forward to going to my OfficeKey locations.

Q: What is your favorite singer or band?

A: Bob Seger / Bruce Springsteen

Q: What do you enjoy most about the organization?

A: Great value, great mission, great potential. Check out this video to learn more about the potential of the I-75 Corridor

Q: What do you like the most about OfficeKey so far?

A: We initially joined for the multi-location resources, the professional environment, and the welcoming staff. Since joining, we’ve learned that other tenants are entrepreneurial, friendly and approachable – it is a great work environment.

Q: How do you spend your time outside of work?

A: I am a recent empty-nester, so I am still adjusting to that. I am an avid networker, I give away a lot of my time in volunteering and I spend a lot of time researching nutrition and non-traditional medicine.

Q: Do you have a favorite quote?

A: “You miss 100% of the shots you do not take.”

Q: If you could stock the OfficeKey fridge with anything you wanted, what would it be?

A: Avocados (organic), bacon (uncured, nitrate free), coconut oil (non-GMO), Pellegrino

Q: Which OfficeKey Location do you think has the best dining options close by?

A: West Chester; the President of UCBMA owns Uno Pizzeria and Grill – see me for special discounts, and don’t forget about the Union Centre Boulevard Merchant Association Food Truck Rally, with more than 30 food trucks! You can get more information about this year’s event on our website.

"Client Q&A with Teri, Online Marketing Consultant"

TeresaLeannePhoto-e1459338908563-300x294 Q: Tell us about Reveal Marketing.

A: After working for several large companies, I realized there were many companies that did not have an internal marketing department. I was confident I could help many small companies with their online marketing efforts, instead of helping one big one.  Most of my work starts with Search Engine Optimization, but I also help with event marketing, social media, blogging, content marketing and other marketing needs.

The name Reveal came from naturally wanting to find the “elephant in the room.” Many times, there are issues within a company that get overlooked or ignored. I contribute a fresh perspective and a eagerness to get beyond these issues.Online-Marketing-Plan-cincinnati-300x104

Q: How did you get into marketing?

A: Customer service has been an interest of mine since working for Disney and Little Professor Books who placed high value on customer satisfaction and loyalty. When I went back to school to earn my MBA, I had a conversation with my adviser and told her about my interests. The closest major to customer service was marketing. I find it interesting that customer service isn’t it’s own degree. Every business should start with excellent customer service. Online Marketing strategies must consider the customer experience.

Q: What type of clients do you work with?

A: I work with companies who want to create or improve on their online presence. Some of my clients are “solopreneurs” like authors and some are companies with many employees.

Q: What do you enjoy most online marketing?

A: I enjoy being able to have a positive impact on my client’s businesses. The Internet has created an opportunity for more people to pursue their dreams. I’m glad I can be a part of that.

Q: How long have you had your office at OfficeKey?

A: I’ve been with OfficeKey since 2014. I met Justin as a member of The Business Network, now H7 Connect. I mostly work at the West Chester Office, but I love meeting my clients at whichever office works best for them. I have online marketing clients who prefer to meet me in Northern Kentucky, Blue Ash and West Chester.  I love the collaboration room!

Q: How do you spend your time outside of work?

A: When I’m not focused on online marketing I’m usually doing something activeI have two sons in high school and college. We like to be outside or playing some kind of interactive game like Guitar Hero. We also like to play with our cat, Friday (he has his own Facebook page).

Q: What is your favorite movie?

A: Sweet Home Alabama (not your average “chick flick” the ending is really awesome).

Q: What is your favorite quote?

A: “But as for me, this mystery has not been revealed to me for any wisdom residing in me more than in any other living man, but for the purpose of making the interpretation known to the king, and that you may understand the thoughts of your mind.” Daniel 2:30, New American Standard Bible translation.
